Betty B. Dutton
Kathryn Elizabeth "Betty" Dutton was born October 26, 1914, in Oak Park, IL. Betty attended Beloit College and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1936. While at college, she met her husband of 61 years, George E. Dutton. After they were married, the couple moved to Sycamore. Over the years, Betty stayed involved in many community organizations, including P.E.O. and the Federated Church.
Betty and George had two sons, David and James. Their family also included several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and Betty enjoyed gathering with them over the holidays, whether it be in Denver, Tulsa, or Michigan.
The George E. and Betty B. Dutton Undesignated Fund was created in 1998 by the prominent Sycamore couple. George passed away in late 1999. Until her death on April 26, 2011, Betty was proud to oversee the support provided to local organizations through the Fund. The Fund is a lasting legacy of the love and support they showed to a community they cherished.
