Charlotte Bross (1928–2022) was a lifelong DeKalb resident whose life reflected a deep love for community, family, and local traditions. A graduate of DeKalb High School, she remained closely connected to her hometown throughout her life, enjoying time with classmates, tending her garden, and attending Municipal Band concerts in Hopkins Park. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church and took pride in supporting projects that enriched the DeKalb community.

In her memory, gifts were directed to the Palmer Family Music Education Scholarship Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation, helping ensure that future generations have access to music education and opportunities for creative growth.
