Christopher David Sanderson was born in DeKalb in 1985. He attended Sycamore High School and graduated from the New York Film Academy at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, California. Christopher was passionate about film, art, history, and the Chicago Bears. He played tennis and was involved in youth groups. Christopher had a great love for his family and friends, and always showed unconditional love to both people and animals.

The Christopher David Sanderson Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 2008 by his parents, David and Lee Ann. The scholarship provides financial support to a senior from Sycamore High School that has been involved in the theater arts program and intends to pursue a college curriculum in theater or film. The legacy of Christopher Sanderson lives on through the people he continues to impact.
