Christopher E. Anderson was born on February 10, 1983. He was an honor roll student, played soccer for DeKalb High School, and was involved in club soccer. Chris was known for putting forth his best effort and he enjoyed the camaraderie of belonging to the team. He loved fishing, hanging with friends and family, and golfing with his dad. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church and known as a joyful, happy, and kind person. 

During his junior year at DeKalb High School, he was involved in a fatal car accident. Christopher passed away on Sunday, July 18, 1999. 

In his memory, the Anderson family established the Christopher E. Anderson Memorial Scholarship Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to a student at DeKalb High School who exhibits spirit, teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm for soccer similar to Christopher Anderson.
