Frank Paul Bazeli (1931–2025) devoted his life to education, community service, and helping others grow. A veteran of the United States Army, he later became a respected educator and professor, teaching for more than 30 years at Northern Illinois University. Frank was known for his passion for history, civic engagement, and mentoring both students and fellow educators. Alongside his wife, Marilyn, he also remained deeply involved in local organizations, music, and community leadership throughout DeKalb County. 

In his memory, memorial gifts were directed to establish the Frank and Marilyn Bazeli Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Through this lasting Fund, Frank’s legacy of education, community involvement, and support for the arts continues to benefit future generations.
