After George met his wife of 61 years, Kathryn Elizabeth "Betty" Dutton, they were married and moved to Sycamore. 

George and Betty had two sons, David and James. Their family also included several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

The George E. and Betty B. Dutton Undesignated Fund was created in 1998 by the prominent Sycamore couple. George passed away in late 1999. Until her death on April 26, 2011, Betty was proud to oversee the support provided to local organizations through the Fund. The Fund is a lasting legacy of the love and support they showed to a community they cherished.
