Katherine Boulos

Katherine Boulos (1913–1994) was a devoted community member whose life reflected generosity, faith, and civic involvement. After moving to DeKalb in 1959, she and her husband established the original McDonald’s restaurant on West Lincoln Highway and became active supporters of numerous local organizations. She remained engaged in charitable, civic, and church life throughout the years, contributing to causes that strengthened the DeKalb community.

Upon her passing in 1994, her estate provided a meaningful gift to the DeKalb County Community Endowment Fund. Through this lasting contribution, her legacy continues to support the Foundation’s long-term ability to respond to community needs and invest in DeKalb County’s future.
