Alex Kelm was born on August 31, 1992, the son of Warren and Gina Kelm. He was a student at Kishwaukee Education Consortium in DeKalb, a Boy Scout in Troop 47, and loved camping, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. Alex passed away on March 12, 2006, at the young age of 13. In his honor, his parents established the Alex Kelm Memorial Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The Fund provides support to the Alternative Education Program (AEP) at Kishwaukee Education Consortium (KEC). His memory lives on and continues to leave a legacy of love and support.
