Mary Ann Seegers (1949–2025) dedicated her life to education and lifelong learning. A graduate of Sycamore High School, she became an award-winning educator, teaching language arts and social studies in Geneva while also helping lead technology education initiatives for students and teachers. Mary was known for her love of learning, thoughtful leadership, and dedication to her students, family, and community. She also enjoyed traveling, spending time in nature, and celebrating family milestones with those she loved. 

In her memory, memorial gifts were directed to the Gilbert “Gib” Seegers Science Scholarship Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Her legacy of education, curiosity, and encouragement continues to make a lasting impact on future generations.
