Matthew Brown (1980–2026) was known for his intellect, generosity, and deep commitment to both his family and community. A lifelong DeKalb County resident, he pursued studies in economics, political science, and law before joining Brown Law Group, where he helped families navigate important life decisions with compassion and care. He was an active community volunteer, sharing his expertise through professional organizations and the DeKalb County Community Foundation’s Estate Planning Advisory Committee. Friends, colleagues, and clients remember him as thoughtful, approachable, and genuinely invested in the well-being of others. 

Family was at the center of Matt’s life. He cherished time with his wife, Amanda, and took great pride in encouraging and supporting his children in their interests and activities. Memorial contributions made in his honor were directed to the Matthew L. Brown Family Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation. Through this Donor Advised Fund, his family continues a tradition of philanthropy and community involvement that reflects Matt’s enduring impact and values.
