Bob (1942–2016) and Pam Bowman (1942–2023) built a life grounded in faith, family, and service to others. High school sweethearts who shared more than five decades of marriage, they were devoted to one another and to the DeKalb County community they proudly called home. Pam dedicated more than 35 years to nursing, caring for patients with skill and compassion, while Bob focused his professional life on community mental health, helping strengthen the well-being of others. Together, they were active members of First Lutheran Church, enthusiastic travelers, and loving parents and grandparents who treasured time with family.

In November 2016, they established the Bob and Pam Bowman Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation as a meaningful way to give back. Today, the Fund continues their shared legacy of generosity, supporting the community they loved and ensuring their commitment to service lives on.
