Ryan Hill (1973–2025) was a lifelong Sycamore resident whose kindness, humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone he met. A graduate of Sycamore High School, Ryan was known for his loyalty to family and friends, his love of sports, and his ability to make people feel welcome wherever he went. Whether cheering on a team, lending a hand to a neighbor, or spending time with his wife, daughters, and loved ones, Ryan believed in showing up for others and building strong community connections. His warmth, quick wit, and genuine care for those around him made him a friend to many.

In his memory, memorial contributions from family, friends, neighbors, and community members established the Ryan Charles Hill Memorial Scholarship Fund at the DeKalb County Community Foundation. The scholarship supports Sycamore High School students who demonstrate kindness, inclusivity, humility, and a commitment to helping others feel they belong. Through this lasting Fund, Ryan’s spirit of friendship, encouragement, and community continues to inspire future generations.
