Sharon L. Rosenow was born in 1942 in Sterling, IL. She graduated from Freeport High School and received her bachelor and master degrees from Northern Illinois University. Sharon married Edward Rosenow in 1964 and taught kindergarten at the Littlejohn Elementary School in DeKalb. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the DeKalb Panhellenic. 

The Sharon L. Rosenow Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 1998 by her husband. The Fund provides financial support to a graduating senior from DeKalb High School. The scholarship is awarded annually to a student that plans to pursue a degree in elementary education. Sharon’s legacy of love and support lives on through the lives she continues to impact.
