Wayne McIlrath was married to his wife, Mary Wilson McIlrath, for 63 years. After his passing, the Wayne McIlrath Family Scholarship Fund was created in 2006 to honor his memory. The Fund resides at the DeKalb County Community Foundation provides an award to a returning or continuing student at Kishwaukee College in Malta, IL. Wayne's legacy of generosity lives on as he continues to impact students in the community.
