Yvonne A. Johnson (1930–2023) lived a life defined by generosity, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to strengthening DeKalb County. Her relationship with the DeKalb County Community Foundation was marked by meaningful service and enduring impact. During her lifetime, she established three Funds at the Foundation: the DeKalb County Excellence in Education Award Fund, the Renaissance Education Scholarship Fund, and the Yvonne A. Johnson and Family Legacy Endowment Fund. Each reflected her strong belief in education, recognition of excellence, and long-term investment in the community’s future.
